Broward Congress Members' Joint Statement on Clerk of Court’s Insensitive Social Media Post

Broward County Clerk of Courts Brenda Forman owes our entire community an apology for why she re-posted what she represented to be the words and image of Adolf Hitler. Using Hitler to convey any point of view or message is reckless and wildly insensitive.
The following statement was issued by U.S. Reps. Alcee Hastings (FL-20), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23), Ted Deutch (FL-22) and Frederica Wilson (FL-24) in response to recent social media posts by Broward County Clerk of Courts Brenda Foreman:

“Broward County Clerk of Courts Brenda Forman owes our entire community an apology for why she re-posted what she represented to be the words and image of Adolf Hitler. Using Hitler to convey any point of view or message is reckless and wildly insensitive. The post is bogus and sharing this misattributed message is not only painful and harmful, it is also repulsive that she would amplify the supposed ‘wisdom’ from the world's most heinous mass murderer, antisemite, and white supremacist. Clerk of Courts Forman must apologize for giving a platform to this type of hateful and abhorrent rhetoric and for the damage and hurt she caused.”
