The Water Resources Development Act authorizes studies, construction projects, and research activities within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Civil Works mission areas. This includes navigation, flood damage reduction, hurricane and storm damage reduction, shoreline protection, and ecosystem restoration.
