I'm holding a town hall to discuss the rising cost of living, the status of ACA tax credits, and recent DHS activity, including ICE and FEMA. If you're interested in regular updates about Rep. Protect TPS
February 3, 2026
Republicans’ assault on TPS would criminalize hundreds of thousands of lawful immigrants overnight. It harms our economy, healthcare, childcare & more. I’m glad a federal judge ruled to protect TPS for Haiti, but the fight isn't over. I'll keep working to protect our community.

ICE in Florida
January 30, 2026
I convened local civil rights and immigration advocates to hear how ICE is impacting Florida and discuss what to do about it. Here’s what they told me.

Feeding South Florida
January 28, 2026
Food is more unaffordable than ever, especially when disaster strikes. I was proud to secure a $2 million federal investment to support Feeding South Florida's Emergency Response Kitchen to help provide underserved and disaster-struck communities hot meals for low or no cost.

Extend TPS for Haiti
January 24, 2026
How can Trump say Haiti is dangerous enough to send a peacekeeping force, yet safe enough to send back law-abiding immigrant families? I'm fighting to protect TPS for Haitians so our neighbors aren't subjected to chaos and violence.

We Must Keep Our Values
January 13, 2026
When America treats every action like a transaction, rather than pursuing our values of democracy and freedom abroad, we risk losing what sets our nation apart.

Protect Tribal Land
January 9, 2026
Congress UNANIMOUSLY passed a bill to protect Miccosukee tribal land, but Trump vetoed it for no good reason. When it came time to override his petty veto, most House Republicans caved. The commitments we make to our tribes demand courage, not weakness.

End Gun Violence
January 8, 2026
I still remember the moment, 15 years ago, when I heard of the shooting of my dear friend Gabby Giffords, and the senseless deaths and injuries of many others that awful day. Today, I proudly led a bipartisan resolution, cosponsored by 236 House and Senate colleagues, to honor the victims and survivors and condemn gun and political violence.

Lower Health Insurance Costs
January 8, 2026
Today, the House votes on whether or not to lower health insurance costs for millions of Americans. Democrats forced this vote. We must extend these vital tax credits.

January 6 Anniversary
January 6, 2026
Five years ago, a vicious mob incited by Donald Trump tried to stop our democracy's peaceful transfer of power. Thanks to the bravery of our Capitol Police, it failed. It should serve as a reminder of just how fragile democracy can be when a lawless president is in power.
